The legendary cast of Guardian: The Lonely and Great God has officially reunited.
To celebrate the show’s 10th anniversary, Gong Yoo, Lee Dong Wook, Kim Go Eun and Yoo In Na recently completed filming for a special commemorative variety program.
According to industry insiders on April 28th, the four stars spent two days and one night traveling together in Gangneung, Gangwon Province, on April 24th and 25th. The special is being helmed by producer Hwang Da Won, the creative mind behind hits like City Girls on the Climb and Once in a Lifetime, Kilimanjaro.
Timed to coincide with both the drama’s 10th anniversary and tvN’s 20th anniversary, the show is scheduled for release in the first half of the year. During their getaway, the cast revisited iconic filming locations, recreated memorable lines and shared personal reflections on the drama’s massive legacy.
Guardian: The Lonely and Great God became a global sensation and a “mega-hit” for tvN in 2016. It notably became the first cable drama to surpass a 20% viewership rating. For fans who still consider Guardian: The Lonely and Great God their “favorite drama,” this reunion is expected to be a nostalgic, must-watch event.
