Lisa stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about her upcoming EP, PRESS PLAY, which is set to drop on October 23rd.

“This EP is about my journey from my roots to where I am right now,” the Thailand-born artist told Jimmy Fallon. “There are a lot of Thai elements in the songs as well. Every song has its own character and vibe and we bring them all together. It’s like a movie. So you just press play.”

The six-track EP’s first single, “SaWaDiKa,” was released earlier this month. The song’s title means “hello” in Thai, and it racked up more than 70 million views on YouTube within 24 hours. LISA called the numbers “crazy” during the interview, which aired Wednesday night, September 16th.

“SaWaDiKa” also debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at No. 69.

LISA has yet to reveal the full tracklist for PRESS PLAY, but she did tease that the fourth track will be the next single and that its title starts with the letter T. “It’s a surprise for my fans,” she said.

LISA also revealed that she had a backup plan in case her K-pop career didn’t work out. She considered becoming a dance teacher or working as a performer, possibly even playing a princess at Disneyland. Fortunately, she never had to put that Plan B into action.

Beyond music, LISA is also the subject of the upcoming documentary Always LALISA. Directed by Sue Kim, the film will hit theaters and IMAX worldwide on October 12th before coming to YouTube Premium later this year. Tickets went on sale September 9th through the film’s official website.

LISA is also set to become the first K-pop artist to headline a Las Vegas residency. Her four-show VIVA LA LISA run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace is scheduled for November 13th–14th and November 27th–28th, 2026. Tickets reportedly sold out in less than 10 minutes. “I haven’t started rehearsals yet, but I’m going to start soon,” LISA told Fallon. “I can’t wait.”

It’s been a busy year for LISA beyond music, too. She performed “Goals” with Anitta and Rema at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony, becoming the first female K-pop artist and Thai artist to perform at the tournament’s opening ceremony.

She also appeared on the cover of Vanity Fair’s Summer 2026 issue, joined the 2026 Met Gala host committee as its first K-pop artist, and presented at the 2026 Golden Globes.

LISA also made her acting debut in HBO’s The White Lotus and has two upcoming Netflix projects. She will star in and executive produce the action film TYGO, while also starring in an untitled romantic comedy currently in development.
