Girls’ Generation members Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung are officially launching their new unit, HRS.

The trio will release their first digital single, “Skibidi,” at 6 PM KST on August 31st, according to SM Entertainment.

The single includes the title track “Skibidi” and B-side “Lowkey In Love.”

“Skibidi” opens with a house sound before shifting into hip-hop, with Arabian-inspired string samples adding to the track’s distinctive sound. The song centers on the message of “making our own new path” while leaning into the trio’s playful energy.

“Lowkey In Love,” meanwhile, is a dance-pop track with retro influences, bright brass, a rhythmic groove and an upbeat melody.

Girls’ Generation-HRS already gave fans an early look at the project, performing their new songs for the first time at the 2026 CassCool Festival at Seoul Land in Gwacheon on August 22nd.

The unit originally grew out of content on Hyoyeon’s personal YouTube channel, where Hyoyeon, Yuri and Sooyoung playfully competed over who would take the main vocal and center positions.

The project also featured appearances from several celebrities helping the trio prepare for their unit debut, including TVXQ’s Yunho, DinDin and John Park.

Girls’ Generation-HRS’ debut single “Skibidi” arrives August 31st.
