‘Study Group’ Star Hong Min Gi Addresses Dating Violence Allegations Through Agency

Hong Min Gi is facing allegations of dating violence, while his agency has denied the claims.

Fable Company, Hong Min Gi’s agency, told Ten Asia on August 19th, “It is not true.” The agency added, “We are currently reviewing the details internally.”

Earlier that day, an influencer claimed on social media that she had been assaulted by Hong Min Gi. She said she had sent Hong Min Gi a formal notice through her lawyer and shared details of the alleged incidents.

According to the influencer, Hong Min Gi allegedly threw a soju bottle at her on the street. She also claimed that he assaulted her by hitting her shoulder, pushing her and grabbing her by the neck.

The influencer later shared a photo of Hong Min Gi and confirmed that he was the person she was referring to, writing, “The previous story is indeed about this person.”

Hong Min Gi’s agency has denied the allegations and said it is reviewing the situation internally. The agency has not provided further details at this time.

Born in 2002, Hong Min Gi began his acting career in 2020. He gained attention for playing the younger version of Ju Ji Hoon’s character, Seok Ji Won, in tvN’s Love Your Enemy.

He later appeared in TVING’s Study Group, MBC’s Crushology 101, Netflix’s Trigger, KBS2’s To My Beloved Thief, and ENA’s Doctor on the Edge, among other projects.

Hong Min Gi recently finished filming Study Group Season 2, his upcoming project.
