Chris Brown is facing criticism after allegedly directing a crude insult at a BTS fan who spoke about RM and J-Hope‘s recent appearance at his concert.
A TikTok creator who identified herself as a Jungkook fan posted a video on August 15th addressing the controversy surrounding RM and J-Hope. In the clip, she said she was a Christian woman with conservative values and did not support Brown or defend people accused of abuse or violence. She also urged fans not to become overly consumed by celebrities’ personal choices.
“We don’t actually know these people,” she said, adding that fans have little control over what artists say or do.
Brown then reportedly commented, “Pray bout it h*e,” before later deleting the remark. Screenshots of the comment quickly spread across social media, drawing criticism from BTS fans and other users.

The exchange comes amid broader backlash over RM and J-Hope attending Brown and Usher’s “The R&B Tour” concert at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on August 12th. The two BTS members were seen enjoying the show and later met Brown and Usher backstage, where they posed for photos together.
Their appearance prompted divided reactions within the BTS fandom, with some fans criticizing the decision because of Brown’s history of violence and legal controversies.
Brown’s response only intensified the backlash. Fans flooded replies and reposts with comments such as, “He’s mocking and disrespecting BTS fans,” “How do you say something that disgusting to someone?” and “Is he out of his mind?”

Screenshots of the deleted comment quickly spread across social media, and the anger soon began spilling over toward BTS as well. Some fans argued that Brown now appeared to believe RM and J-Hope were firmly on his side.
“He must think BTS is backing him. That’s why he feels comfortable coming into our space and treating us like trash,” one fan wrote.
Another added, “He clearly thinks BTS is on his side now. Great. That’s disgusting.”
Even after Brown deleted the comment, the backlash showed little sign of dying down, with fans continuing to criticize both his treatment of the TikTok creator and RM and J-Hope’s decision to publicly associate with him.
As of August 18th, BTS and their agency have not publicly addressed the controversy.
