Single’s Inferno 5 star Mina Sue Choi is set to face fierce competition from the very first episode of tvN’s new fashion survival show Kill It: Style Creator War.
Premiering May 12th, the show brings together 100 rising influencers, models and creators — including BLACKPINK Jisoo’s sister Kim Ji Yoon — competing to become the next face of K-fashion. Mentors include Jang Yoon Ju, Lee Jong Won, TXT’s Yeonjun, Cha Jung Won, Shin Hyun Ji, Ahreum Ahn and Yanggang.
The premiere centers on the first elimination round, where only 50 contestants will survive. In the opening “Style War” mission, contestants must attract as many photographers as possible within a limited time by showcasing their style and charisma onstage.
Mina Sue Choi quickly grabs attention with a noticeably different strategy. While other contestants rush to the stage, she takes a slower, more composed approach.
“I felt like I needed to build things up from the start,” she says before confidently walking toward the cameras with a runway-style strut.
“She definitely has charm,” Jang Yoon Ju says while watching her performance, while Lee Jong Won adds, “All the cameras are gathering around Mina Sue right now.”
But the mood suddenly shifts when another contestant appears with bold styling that instantly steals the spotlight. According to the show, photographers who had crowded around Mina Sue Choi begin disappearing “like the tide going out” as attention moves to her rival instead.
Visibly upset, Mina Sue Choi later admits, “All the attention that was on me started moving over there. I didn’t even want to stay on stage anymore. My pride was hurt.”
The identity of the contestant who shook up the competition will be revealed in the premiere episode.
Kill It premieres May 12th at 10:10 PM KST.
