Park Ju Hyun has offered a heartfelt and quiet farewell to her close friend and fellow actress, Kang Seo Ha, who recently passed away.
On July 14th, Park expressed her condolences through social media, mourning the loss of Kang Seo Ha with a message that reflected both deep sorrow and sincere affection.
Posting on Kang Seo Ha’s Instagram, Park wrote, “May you rest in peace. Yewon, I hope you’re no longer in pain and can keep smiling that beautiful smile of yours.” Yewon is Kang Seo Ha’s birth name.
The message reflected a sense of respect and quiet solidarity between the two actresses, who were the same age and studied in the Acting Department at the Korean National University of Arts. Both born in 1994, they shared similar paths in their early careers.
Tributes continued to pour in across social media, including a heartbreaking message from Kang Seo Ha’s younger sister. She wrote, “It still doesn’t feel real. Unnie couldn’t eat for months, but she always worried more about those around her than herself.” She added, “My angel, who endured everything with painkillers and still said, ‘I’m just grateful it isn’t worse.’ I’m so proud of you, and I miss you more than words can say.”
Kang Seo Ha made her acting debut in 2012 in the music video “Farther Away” and continued her career steadily. She recently completed filming for the movie In the Net, which will now be remembered as her final project.
Her funeral will take place at 7:40AM on July 16th, with her final resting place in Haman County.
