WINWIN has shared a heartfelt message as he officially concludes his 10 years with SM Entertainment.
On July 8th, the NCT and WayV member posted a letter on social media reflecting on his 10-year journey.
“Time has flown by so quickly from 2016 to 2026,” he wrote. “I’m writing this with a sincere heart as I look back on the past 10 years.”
WINWIN thanked everyone who had been part of his journey, saying he was grateful to have started as a trainee before debuting with NCT 127 and later joining WayV. He said the experience allowed him to meet many people and build meaningful relationships.
Looking back on his career, WINWIN acknowledged that there were difficult and challenging moments but said the memories that remain are those filled with happiness, joy, and unforgettable experiences.
He also thanked SM Entertainment for giving him the opportunity to debut and perform for fans around the world.
“I am grateful to all the fans who have supported me,” he wrote. “I hope the past 10 years will remain warm, beautiful, and unforgettable memories for you as well.”
Earlier that day, SM Entertainment announced that WINWIN’s exclusive contract would end today, on July 9th, following mutual discussions. The agency also confirmed that he will conclude all activities as a member of NCT.
“We are grateful to WINWIN for being with us for more than 10 years since his trainee days,” SM Entertainment said. “We will continue to support him as he begins a new chapter.”
WINWIN debuted with NCT 127 in 2016 and was later promoted as a member of NCT U and WayV. His last official Korean group activities were during WayV’s promotions in late 2023.
In 2026, three NCT members decided to either leave the group or part ways with the agency. Mark left NCT after his exclusive contract expired in April and is now pursuing solo activities. Ten also decided to continue promoting as a member of both NCT and WayV, even though his exclusive contract with SM Entertainment ended in April.
Before those three, Taeil was removed from NCT in August 2024 after being indicted on charges of aggravated quasi-rape. He was later sentenced to three years and six months in prison. In May 2023, Sungchan and Shotaro officially left NCT following discussions with SM Entertainment. The two later re-debuted as members of SM Entertainment’s boy group RIIZE.
