A public survey documenting public housing prices announced that the Eterno Cheongdam, located in the Cheongdam district of Seoul, is the most expensive apartment in Korea for 2025. Now, netizens wonder which affluent stars reside there or at least own property there.
Seoul is known for having unimaginably wealthy residents living in extravagant apartments that are well worth over billions of won. Although it costs quite a pretty penny, various stars have been reported to have purchased property at these top-selling real estate locations. Eterno Cheongdam
This ultra-luxury residence has garnered attention as the home of celebrities such as singer IU and other prominent business figures. According to the 2025 public housing price plan released by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport on June 13th, Eterno Cheongdam was found to be the most expensive apartment nationwide. The officially announced price for its 464.11 square meter unit reached 32.57 billion won ($21 million), a significant lead over the second-place property.
During its pre-sale in 2021, singer IU purchased a 244㎡ unit for 13 billion won ($8.4 million), paying the full amount in cash, which became a hot topic at the time. Song Joong Ki also bought a unit of the same size for 15 billion won ($9 million).
Meanwhile, Son Heung Min, captain of the South Korean national football team and a player for Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League, is reportedly the owner of Eterno Apgujeong, another ultra-luxury residence in the Gangnam area. According to reports from Maeil Business Newspaper and the real estate industry on the 27th of June, Son Heung Min recently purchased a grand deluxe penthouse in Eterno Apgujeong, a successor project to Eterno Cheongdam. The sale price is said to be around 40 billion won ($26 million).
Nine One Hannam
Located in the Hannam district of Seoul, Nine One Hannam is a premier luxury residential complex known for its strict security and privacy, making it a favored residence for top celebrities such as BTS members RM, Jimin and Suga, BIGBANG member G-Dragon, and even actors such as Jun Ji Hyun and Lee Jong Suk, as well as the couple Jang Yoon Jung and Do Kyung Wan. The property recorded an official price of 24.28 billion won ($15.6 million) in 2026.
BTS members RM and Jimin each purchased and reside in 244.3㎡ apartments. The building has basically become a BTS dormitory. Lee Jong Suk acquired a duplex apartment of 273.9㎡. G-Dragon was reported to have purchased a 244.3㎡ penthouse for 16.4 billion won ($10.5 million) in 2022, a year after the initial sales concluded. Bae Yong Joon and Park Soo Jin, along with Ju Ji Hoon, are also reported to reside there and paid similar prices for their properties.
PH129
The Cheongdam district of Seoul is lined with luxury villas offering views of the Han River. This area is playfully called a “celebrity street,” featuring properties like Ville Polaris, owned by actor Cha Eun Woo, Eterno Cheongdam, where singer IU resides, and ONER CHEONGDAM, with spaces reportedly purchased by G-Dragon. Among these, PH129, with its curved exterior following a semi-circular road, stands out as a representative luxury villa in Seoul. Its officially announced price as of 2026 is 23.23 billion won ($15 million).
According to real estate registry documents on June 24th, 2025, V purchased a 273.96㎡ unit in PH129 for 14.2 billion won ($9.1 million) on June 17th. Besides V, celebrity couple Jang Dong Gun and Go So Young, and singer Zico are also known to reside in PH129.
ONER Cheongdam
ONER Cheongdam, reportedly owned by singer G-Dragon, is located in the Cheongdam district of Seoul, with an officially announced price of 22.48 billion won ($14.5 million) for its 341.6㎡ unit.
According to Biz Hankook on June 13th, 2023, G-Dragon purchased a unit on the 13th floor of ONE.R Cheongdam, which was under construction in Cheongdam-dong, early last year. The unit, a single-story structure of approximately 74 pyeong (245㎡), was priced between 15 and 18 billion won ($9 million to $12 million). It is known that G-Dragon completed the payment for the new unit without selling his previously owned apartment.
Acro Seoul Forest
Securing the fifth position is Acro Seoul Forest (273.93㎡) in the Seongsu district of Seoul, which has emerged as a new affluent neighborhood, with an officially announced price of 20.71 billion won ($13.4 million). Residents reportedly include SHINee’s Taemin, broadcaster Park Kyung Lim, actors Lee Je Hoon, Yoon Yoo Sun, Choi Hwa Jung, the couple Oh Yeon Soo and Son Ji Chang, the couple Cha Ye Ryun and Joo Sang Wook and the couple Choi Ran and Lee Choong Hee.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport’s real transaction price disclosure system on October 15, 2025, a penthouse unit of 274㎡ (47th floor) in Acro Seoul Forest was sold for 29 billion won ($18.7 million) on June 29th, marking the highest transaction price for an apartment in Seoul last year. The price per pyeong reached a staggering 278 million won ($180,000).
