Han Ga In showcased her signature honest and down-to-earth personality.
A video was uploaded on May 30th to the YouTube channel Ggondaehee. Han Ga In appeared as a guest in the episode and shared recent updates while having a meal with host Kim Dae Hee.
Han Ga In explained the meaning behind her recently trending personal channel name, “Han Ga In Is Free,” when asked about it.
“The producer and I came up with it together,” she said. “I’m not very good at living freely, so we chose the name to push myself to break out of that and live more freely. It’s a channel where I just do whatever I want.”
Han Ga In spoke candidly about why she has been appearing more frequently on variety shows and YouTube in a more relaxed, unfiltered way.
Han Ga In said, “I wanted to show my real self after getting married and having children. People often tell me I’m more down-to-earth than they expected. Many assumed I was very quiet and reserved.”
Han Ga In added that she has long felt constrained by her public image since debuting at a young age.
She said, “I started YouTube to show my real self. I feel a sense of relief when I act in ways that break that image.”
The conversation shifted to her marriage with actor Youn Jung Hoon, where Han Ga In drew laughter with her blunt honesty.
Han Ga In said, “If I were born again, I don’t think I would marry Youn Jung Hoon.”
She continued jokingly, “We got married very young and have been together for 21 years. Next time, I’d like to meet different people, date around, and experience more relationships.”
The video also featured a story about her singing G-Dragon’s “Crooked” at a year-end party. Han Ga In accepted an impromptu request to perform again and showed a playful side that contrasted with her usual elegant image.
Han Ga In married Youn Jung Hoon in 2005, and the couple has one son and one daughter.
