Just two days after its April 3rd release, Bloodhounds 2 has already claimed the number two spot worldwide in Netflix’s TV category, according to FlixPatrol.
The series hit number one in 12 countries, including South Korea, Indonesia, and Turkey, while rapidly gaining traction across the Americas and Europe. In the U.S., the show quickly broke into the top five, while also securing top ten spots in major markets like Brazil, France and Germany.

The franchise is no stranger to global success; Season 1 previously reached number one worldwide within a week of its 2023 debut. The hype for the sequel was so high that the first season actually re-entered the top ten in Korea just before the new episodes dropped
Industry experts attribute this success to the universal appeal of the action genre, which relies on high-octane sequences and a classic “good vs. evil” narrative rather than complex cultural context. One insider noted that the evolving friendship between the leads and the ramped-up action makes this season even more immersive than the first.
Fans were thrilled by Park Seo Joon’s cameo, which added an extra layer of excitement to the new season. At the same time, the release sparked a wave of nostalgia and grief among viewers for the late Kim Sae Ron; many took to social media to honor her memory, expressing how much they missed her presence on screen and mourning the talent she left behind.

Season 2 is definitely better than season 1 in storyline aspect, good pacing, the action scenes are flawless too. The only thing I hate is how the writer made woojin weaker this season, I know its for the storyline but still… the point of bloodhounds are gunwoojin as a boxer…

In this new chapter, Geon Woo and Woo Jin return to face off against a global illegal boxing league. Stars Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi are joined by Jung Ji Hoon (also known as Rain), who takes on the role of the formidable new villain. While the sequel is earning praise for its larger-than-life confrontations, some viewers have noted that the intensity has been dialed up significantly compared to Season 1.
Now, all eyes are on whether Bloodhounds 2 can outpace its predecessor and solidify the global dominance of K-action.
