Shiho Yano is opening up about a deeply personal chapter of her life.
On today’s episode of KBS’s Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, the Japanese model visits her close friend Ayumi’s home, where the two share candid conversations about motherhood, life and everything in between.
Shiho Yano, who is mom to 15-year-old Sarang, meets Ayumi, who is raising her 19-month-old daughter, for a lively and unfiltered catch-up. Over a home-cooked meal, Ayumi confides her concerns about planning a second child.
“I’m thinking about having another baby now that it’s been a year since I gave birth, but I’m still unsure,” Ayumi says. Shiho Yano responds with a laugh, “You should hurry! You really should,” before offering her own bold and unexpectedly frank advice, sparking laughter in the studio.
The conversation then takes a more emotional turn as Yano shares a personal story. “I was actually pregnant with my second child at 40,” she reveals, opening up about a painful experience she had kept private.
She goes on to talk about how she coped with that loss and the time she spent with her husband Yoshihiro Akiyama, aka Choo Sung Hoon, and their daughter during that period.
Later in the episode, Yano is seen lighting up during a video call with her husband, whom she hasn’t been able to see often due to their busy schedules. When Choo unexpectedly calls, she answers with a bright smile and affectionate gaze, telling him, “You look hot today,” showing their continued warmth and connection.
Yano’s mix of candid humor and heartfelt honesty will be featured on the March 27th broadcast of Stars’ Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant.
