Park Bo Young is stepping into a high-stakes survival thriller—and the prize is massive.
Disney Plus has confirmed that its original series Gold Land will premiere on April 29th, alongside the release of a striking launch motion poster.
The series follows Hee Joo (Park Bo Young), who unexpectedly comes into possession of gold bars worth 150 billion won ($100 million). What begins as a stroke of luck quickly turns into a dangerous fight for survival, as she’s pulled into a chaotic world of greed, betrayal, and shifting alliances—all while trying to claim the gold for herself.
The newly revealed motion poster sets the tone, with a glowing gold logo emerging from darkness before revealing a hidden stash of gold deep inside a mine. The visual contrast between pitch-black surroundings and blinding gold hints at the awakening of human desire. The tagline, “A dazzling desire blooming in the dark,” points to the life-altering choices the characters will face under extreme circumstances.
With global interest in rising gold prices and wealth, the series taps into a timely question: how far would someone go if they suddenly gained unimaginable riches?

Gold Land also brings together a powerhouse creative team. Confidential Assignment director Kim Sung Hoon teams up with writer Hwang Jo Yoon of Oldboy and Masquerade to deliver a tightly crafted, high-intensity story centered on human desire and survival.
The cast includes Kim Sung Cheol, Lee Hyun Wook, Kim Hee Won, Moon Jeong Hee, and Lee Kwang Soo, all set to showcase bold transformations alongside Park Bo Young.
Gold Land will debut with its first two episodes on April 29th, followed by two new episodes released weekly, for a total of 10 episodes.
