Disney Plus has unveiled the main poster and trailer for its highly anticipated fantasy romance The Remarried Empress, offering a closer look at the tangled relationships among Shin Mina, Ju Ji Hoon, Lee Jong Suk and Lee Se Young.
The Remarried Empress follows Navier (played by Shin Mina), the accomplished empress of the Eastern Empire, whose seemingly perfect marriage begins to unravel when her husband, Emperor Sovieshu (Ju Ji Hoon), falls for runaway slave Rashta (Lee Se Young). When Sovieshu eventually demands a divorce, Navier agrees – but shocks the imperial court by asking for permission to remarry Prince Heinrey (Lee Jong Suk) of the Western Kingdom.
The newly released poster places the four characters around the imperial throne, highlighting the alliances and tensions at the heart of the story. Navier holds Heinrey’s hand as he looks toward her, while Sovieshu keeps his eyes on Navier even as Rashta holds tightly to his hand, hinting at the complicated web of love, betrayal and ambition that connects them.
The main trailer begins with Navier and Sovieshu’s once-stable marriage before Rashta’s arrival creates a growing rift between them. As Sovieshu becomes increasingly drawn to Rashta, Heinrey enters Navier’s life, and an unexpected connection begins to develop between the empress and the prince.
With the two relationships moving in opposite directions, the fractures within the imperial court deepen. Heinrey offers the wounded Navier a new path forward, while Sovieshu ultimately makes the declaration that changes everything: “I am divorcing the empress.”
Rather than being defeated by the decision, Navier makes a move no one expects. She accepts the divorce and immediately asks for approval to remarry, setting the stage for a royal scandal driven by love, power and desire.
The Remarried Empress premieres November 4th exclusively on Disney Plus.
