Kim Seon Ho is entering a new romantic chapter—both on screen and emotionally.
The actor recently teamed up with fashion magazine Elle Korea for a photoshoot capturing what the publication described as his quiet yet burning nighttime energy, following his performance as multilingual interpreter Joo Ho Jin in the Netflix series Can This Love Be Translated?.
In an interview after the shoot, Kim shared what initially drew him to the project. “Ho Jin and Moo Hee travel through different countries together, slowly developing feelings for each other. I think most people have imagined that romantic moment of meeting someone while traveling. This drama puts that feeling right in front of you—that moment when it feels like every emotion might open up.”
Kim also spoke candidly about his romantic chemistry with co-star Go Youn Jung. “I believe chemistry naturally forms when both people open their hearts. Thankfully, Youn Jung and I matched well in terms of emotional temperature and rhythm on set. We focused on making the two characters feel like they truly existed, trying to live each moment as naturally as possible.”
He added, “I was lucky to work with such good people. For me, this project came with a lot of good fortune.”
When asked what message he would want conveyed if someone could fully translate his inner feelings, Kim gave a thoughtful answer. “Facing myself. Not excitement or butterflies—just honestly confronting myself through acting. I reflect on what I lack and generously acknowledge what I did well. In the end, it means ‘I do not run away.'”
