The Remarried Empress follows Navier, the flawless empress of the Eastern Empire, who is blindsided when Emperor Sovieshu—longtime friend and companion since childhood—falls for the runaway slave Rashta and demands a divorce. Navier accepts the separation on one condition: that she be allowed to remarry Prince Heinrey of the Western Kingdom. What unfolds is a sweeping romance-fantasy epic.
The original webtoon, based on a 2018 web novel, has amassed approximately 2.6 billion global views (as of December 2024) and has been released in ten languages, cementing its global fanbase.

The series is directed by Cho Soo Won, known for I Can Hear Your Voice, Pinocchio, and Still 17.
