Tiffany Young is getting candid about marriage after tying the knot with actor Byun Yo Han.
The Girls’ Generation member appeared in an August 27th video on the YouTube channel OneShotHansol, where creator Kim Hansol asked her how she knew when it was time to get married.
“You might already have the answer inside you and just be looking for advice from other people,” Tiffany said. “You just go, ‘We’re doing this.’ I went to the Gangnam District Office, and it can happen really fast. You just need a pen and signatures from two witnesses.”
When Kim pointed out that both people still need to be on the same page, Tiffany said Byun helped take the uncertainty out of the decision.
“For me, he took the lead,” she said. “Even when I was about to start overthinking it, he’d say, ‘We’re just going for it.’ I liked that kind of leadership.”
Her advice was similarly straightforward when Kim admitted that he worries about what happens when couples argue.
“Fighting is inevitable when you’re living your life together. You can’t be afraid of it,” Tiffany said. “You have to learn how to fight well. Girls’ Generation fights all the time too.”
Tiffany also opened up about the couple’s life at home with their three dogs — two she previously raised and one that belonged to Byun.
Asked whether they divide up responsibilities, Tiffany said neither waits around for the other to take care of something.
“It’s not, ‘I’ll do it first’ or ‘He’ll do it later,'” she explained. “Someone is always already doing it. At night, we also try to make sure the whole family goes for a walk together.”
Tiffany and Byun first met through the Disney Plus series Uncle Samsik before their relationship turned romantic. The couple registered their marriage in February.
