Rosé has landed on the cover of the September special edition of Elle Korea.
As a global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Rosé’s cover shoot was created in collaboration with the brand’s Care Crush Hand & Body Serum in Cream, which comes in a cute heart-shaped design.
Following the release of her first full-length album, rosie, Rosé is currently working on new music in the middle of summer. She shared, “Ultimately, summer is a time for me to make music, discover myself and find my sound.”
“This time, I’m working in Korea and I feel like the time I’ve spent getting through this intense humidity will become a scene from the new album,” she added.
Rosé also opened up about her creative process. “Working on an album is a time when I dive deep into every part of myself. I see sides of myself that I don’t want to face, and it feels like putting those past moments together in a time capsule,” she said.
Looking back on the past two years, Rosé said she spent a lot of time questioning herself.
“It was a time of constantly asking myself, ‘Can I trust my voice? Can I trust myself?’ and proving it,” she shared. “Ultimately, I realized that the answer is to listen to my heart and trust it. Now, I can accept and embrace even the weak and imperfect parts of myself.”
She also discussed how her artistic identity continues to evolve.
“Right now, I’m figuring out whether I’m someone who captures personal stories or someone who creates a world I want to express. I’m enjoying the process itself,” she said.
Having lived in several cities around the world, Rosé has also developed a new understanding of what “home” means to her.
“In the past, home was simply a physical space, but now I’ve learned that the mindset that makes any place feel like home is more important,” she said. “By learning how to be comfortable spending time alone, I finally started enjoying my own company.”
Rosé said her approach to work and rest has also changed.
“I used to be a workaholic and thought spending time doing nothing was meaningless,” she shared. “I now think it’s okay to lie on the couch and rest or take my time drying my hair.”
She has recently been enjoying simple hobbies, including collecting organizers and trying origami. With a smile, she said, “There are so many small and big joys in the world. I want to remind myself that it’s okay to fully enjoy the life I have right now.”
