Kim Soo Hyun is set to make a rare official appearance in Korea as a presenter at the 2026 The Fact Music Awards.
The ceremony’s organizing committee announced August 28th that the Queen of Tears star will attend the awards show on September 19th at Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
The appearance follows Kim’s recent stint as a special guest on Mahakarya RCTI 37, a live anniversary special celebrating Indonesian broadcaster RCTI’s 37th year.
Kim made his acting debut in 2007 with Kimchi Cheese Smile before breaking out with Dream High in 2011. He went on to star in The Moon Embracing the Sun, which reached a peak nationwide rating of 42.2%, and the blockbuster film The Thieves.
His popularity grew across Asia with My Love From the Star, while his most recent hit, Queen of Tears, set a new ratings record for a tvN weekend drama with a 24.9% nationwide peak.
This year’s The Fact Music Awards marks the event’s return to South Korea after editions in Osaka in 2024 and Macau in 2025.
The performer lineup includes RIIZE, RESCENE, xikers, IDID, ILLIT, ALPHA DRIVE ONE, EVAN, ATEEZ, NMIXX, ALLDAY PROJECT, Lim Young Woong, Choi Yena, CORTIS, CLOSE YOUR EYES, KiiiKiii, TREASURE and tripleS.
