Lee Si Young is offering a public apology after a recent video she shared from a U.S. restaurant sparked backlash over “bad manners.”
On February 10th, the actress took to her Instagram to address the criticism, writing, “I always check to make sure there’s nothing inappropriate before posting photos or videos, but I still make mistakes. I sincerely apologize to those who found my last video uncomfortable.” She added, “I’ll be more mindful going forward.”
The now-deleted clip was filmed at a restaurant in Long Island Beach, New York, where Lee was dining with friends. In the footage, her young son was seen walking, and even dancing around the restaurant while eating, and spinning around a parasol.
The video also showed a female customer at another table whose face was fully visible without any blurring, prompting discomfort. Some online users criticized the clip, saying, “They’re totally disrupting the other customers” and “That’s very bad manners.”
Lee married in 2017 and has one son. Earlier this year, she revealed she is expecting her second child after deciding to have an embryo—frozen before her divorce—implanted. “I’ve always wanted another child, and with the embryo’s disposal date coming up, I chose to go through with the procedure,” she explained. “My ex didn’t agree, but I’m taking full responsibility for the decision.”
