The upcoming TVING original series Lottery Winner Still Goes to Work (literal title) brings together Lee Jun Hyuk, Seo Hyun Woo, and Oh Dae Hwan for a relatable office comedy.
Adapted from a popular web novel, the series follows Gong Eun Tae (Lee Jun Hyuk), a hardworking and low-key office worker whose life takes an unexpected turn after winning the lottery. His 1.3 billion KRW win (approx. 956,000 USD) wasn’t enough to upend his life, so he kept showing up to work thinking nothing would change—but in the end, it’s his own growth that ends up changing everything.
Adding to the excitement, Tomb of the River director Yoon Young Bin will helm the series.
Lee Jun Hyuk stars as Gong Eun Tae, a team lead of Sales Team 5 at Hongseong International who’s spent his whole life chasing a normal, trouble-free existence. But when all that effort leaves him with nothing but monotony, he hits a mid-life slump—until a sudden lottery jackpot turns his life upside down.
“I talked with friends who work corporate jobs after reading the script,” said Lee. “This story is about how coworkers learn to understand each other. I think this could really speak to working people.” He added, “I’m excited to work alongside Seo Hyun Woo and Oh Dae Hwan.”
Seo Hyun Woo plays Yang Jun Ho, Gong Eun Tae’s problematic team member, a former rising star now stuck in a frustrating career rut. Watching Gong get promoted despite being his junior by a year leaves him bitter and rebellious, but he slowly learns to face reality and support his teammates. “I was drawn to the interesting premise of what would happen if the moment of winning the lottery—something everyone dreams of at least once—suddenly came to an ordinary office worker,” he shared.
Oh Dae Hwan joins as Jung Sun Hyuk, a sales team leader of Sales Team 4. After repeated promotion failures, he comes to believe that networking may be more valuable than skill—and chooses to play the game to survive. The actor shared his excitement, commenting, “It’s a pleasure to reunite with the director, cast, and crew I’ve worked with before.”
Meanwhile, Lottery Winner Still Goes to Work premieres on TVING in 2026.
