Park Ji Hoon returns as Yeon Si Eun in Weak Hero Class 2, which premieres May 25th. Speaking at the series press conference held at Hotel Naru Seoul, the actor shared, “This season, I really tried to deliver more explosive action and deeper emotion.”

“I focused on enhancing my eye acting,” he said. “I didn’t want to show one-dimensional emotions like ‘sad’ or ‘angry’ in front of the camera. Instead, I loosened up a little and focused on truly understanding the character’s emotional state.”

Above all, Season 2 promises an action upgrade. “Si Eun doesn’t want to fight, but he keeps getting dragged into fights,” Park explained. “Since he fought a lot in Season 1, his fighting skills have definitely improved. What’s different this time is that he uses more of the opponent’s objects during combat.”

Lee Jun Young, who joins the cast this season, shared, “I’m excited because I get to show a completely different side of myself in this role,” adding, “I worked to portray Geum Sung Jae as someone whose true intentions are impossible to read.” He also shared that he and Park Ji Hoon ran through scenes together multiple times and collaborated closely on set.

Director Yoo Soo Min, who helms both the script and direction, said, “If Season 1 was about pains of growing, Season 2 is focused on the theme of reconciliation.” He emphasized, “This time around, we focused more on making the series entertaining to watch and gave the action-genre elements even more flair.”

Weak Hero Class 2 premieres May 25th.
