MBC’s variety show Good Day aired its final episode on April 13th, recording its lowest viewer ratings to date.
According to Nielsen Korea, the show recorded a nationwide household viewership rating of 2.7%. After peaking at 4.3% with its first episode in February, the ratings mostly hovered in the 3% range and ultimately failed to rebound.
Good Day is a music project in which G-Dragon collaborates with figures from various fields to create a song representing the year 2025. Directed by Infinite Challenge’s Kim Tae Ho, the show generates buzz thanks to its star-studded lineup, including actors Hwang Jung Min, Kim Go Eun, Yim Si Wan, Jung Hae In, Lee Soo Hyuk, Hwang Kwang Hee, Jo Se Ho, rapper Defconn, producer Code Kunst, and chef Ahn Sung Jae.
However, controversy arose during the broadcast when cast member Kim Soo Hyun became involved in a personal scandal. Criticism grew as he continued to appear and participate in the filming even after the issue surfaced.
The production team eventually edited out all of Kim Soo Hyun’s scenes, but the show failed to recover its viewership.
