Jeon Yeo Been and Jinyoung will team up for a new romance drama.
Genie TV original series Good Woman Boo Semi (literal title) unveiled its casting lineup on March 31st. The drama will star Jeon Yeo Been, Jinyoung, Seo Hyun Woo, Jang Yoon Ju and Joo Hyun Young.
Good Woman Boo Semi is a crime romance drama that follows a poor bodyguard who enters a contract marriage with a terminally ill chaebol heir. As they navigate their relationship, they must also protect their lives from those who are after a massive inheritance.
Jinyoung plays Jeon Dong Min, a single father who runs a strawberry farm in the countryside while raising his son on his own. He’s the only one who sees through Semi, who appears to be the perfect kindergarten teacher.
Seo Hyun Woo plays Lee Don, the personal lawyer to the chairman of Gaseong Group. He climbed his way up from humble beginnings with sharp intellect. But he begins searching for a new path in life after witnessing the harsh realities of power and privilege.
Additionally, Jang Yoon Ju has been cast as Ga Sun Young, the chairman’s stepdaughter, who appears different on the outside than she truly is.
Joo Hyun Young will play Baek Hye Ji, a maid working in the owner’s mansion.
The production team stated, “This drama brings together a cast of talented actors with incredible skills and charisma. It will depict an unpredictable thriller revolving around money and desire in a materialistic society.”
They expressed their hopes for audience interest, adding, “While it explores themes of wealth and greed, the story also carries an irreplaceable sense of warmth and excitement. It will be a drama filled with humanity. Please look forward to it.”
Good Woman Boo Semi is set to air in the second half of this year.
