BLACKPINK’s Jennie is causing a sensation after unveiling a daring visual collaboration with British pop star Dua Lipa.
On March 11th, Jennie shared photos with Dua Lipa on her Instagram with the caption “it was about time @dualipa.” In the revealed images, both artists exude powerful presence with their distinctive styles, with Dua Lipa’s bold see-through dress particularly drawing attention.
On the same day, Jennie released the music video for “Handlebars (feat. Dua Lipa),” a track from her first solo full-length album RUBY. The dreamlike music video captivates viewers, with both Jennie and Dua Lipa appearing together. “Handlebars” conveys the intense emotions of falling in love, singing about feelings that can’t be stopped even while knowing they’re foolish.

With “RUBY,” Jennie is making history as the first K-pop solo artist to reach #9 on the US Apple Music Top Albums chart and #2 on the European Apple Music Top Albums chart. The title track “like JENNIE” became the first song by a female artist this year to top Korea’s Apple Music Top Songs chart, and Jennie is the only K-pop artist to simultaneously rank #1 on both China’s Apple Music Top Albums and Top Songs charts.
Additionally, Jennie continues an unprecedented promotional campaign by releasing music videos for six tracks from RUBY. On the 12th, an exclusive performance of “Handlebars” is scheduled to be released through NPOP, Billboard, and Billboard Korea YouTube channels.
