Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo have started filming for writer Noh Hee Kyung’s new drama.
Studio Dragon announced on January 13 that filming for Slowly but Intensely (working title) began last month.
Set in the 1960s and 1970s, Slowly but Intensely is a period drama about the broadcasting industry. It follows the lives of on-stage stars and the people behind the scenes who help create them.
The drama is written by Noh Hee Kyung, with Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo as the leads. This marks Song Hye Kyo and Noh Hee Kyung’s third collaboration, following That Winter, the Wind Blows and The World They Live In.
The series is directed by Lee Yoon Jung, who previously worked with Gong Yoo on Coffee Prince and has also directed Golden Time and Cheese in the Trap.
Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo recently appeared on the YouTube variety show Fairy Jaehyung, where she showed off her short hairstyle and revealed, “I cut my hair for my next project. It’s a period drama by Noh Hee Kyung.”
