Fans are enthusiastically welcoming member Minji‘s appearance in NewJeans’ special content celebrating the group’s fourth debut anniversary, with many speculating that it signals her official return alongside Hanni, Haerin and Hyein. However, ADOR is taking a cautious approach, as her return to the agency has not been officially confirmed.
NewJeans released a special anniversary film on their official YouTube channel to mark four years since their debut. The video features Minji, Hanni, Hyein and Haerin walking toward their fans, Bunnies, on a beautiful summer night under the moonlight.
Addressing the release, ADOR stated, “We brought together the members’ desire to celebrate their debut anniversary with the fans who have been waiting for them for a long time. We hope Bunnies can enjoy this with a happy heart.”
The video sparked widespread speculation that Minji had officially rejoined ADOR, particularly because Haerin, Hyein and Hanni had already resumed their schedules with the label following their contract dispute. ADOR clarified that no final decision has been reached, adding, “NewJeans’ future activities and plans will be announced after discussions with the members are fully completed. This content was created to celebrate NewJeans’ 4th debut anniversary and to share the moment with fans.”
The group became embroiled in a legal dispute with ADOR in November 2024 when the members announced the termination of their exclusive contracts, asserting that the label was at fault. After the court ruled in ADOR’s favor, Haerin, Hyein and Hanni returned to the agency. Danielle remains in a separate legal battle after ADOR terminated her contract and filed a lawsuit seeking damages and financial penalties.
