Block B member P.O was rushed to the emergency room following a traffic accident on Jeju Island.
Newsi reported on July 22nd that P.O was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street in Jeju on July 19th. He was immediately transported to the emergency room of a general hospital in Jeju City, where medical staff treated him for injuries to his arm and knee. Authorities confirmed that his condition is not life-threatening.
Police are investigating the collision involving the passenger car and have already confirmed that neither drunk driving nor traffic signal violations were factors in the incident. P.O had been staying on Jeju Island for a vacation with friends, though his exact itinerary was not made public.
Born in 1993, P.O made his music debut with the K-pop group Block B in 2011 before transitioning into acting in 2017. He recently earned international praise for his performance as Bong Geun Dae in the Netflix original series Teach You a Lesson, which topped Netflix’s global non-English TV chart and became one of the most-watched Korean series of all time.
He is next set to star in the upcoming SBS drama Good Partner 2, scheduled to premiere later this year.
