The beloved Lovely Runner couple, Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, received the People’s Choice Awards together.
The 2024 Asia Contents Awards & Global OTT Awards took place at Busan Cinema Center on the 6th as part of the Busan International Film Festival. Originally launched in 2019 to recognize the best in Asian content, the ACA & G.OTT Awards expanded in 2023 to include TV, OTT, and online content worldwide. This year’s edition saw entries from 16 countries with 201 submissions.
In a special addition this year, the People’s Choice Award—allowing viewers to vote for their favorite actors in the OTT category—was introduced. Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon, stars of Lovely Runner, were named the winners. However, both were unable to attend the event in person.
Byeon Woo Seok shared a video message, saying, “I’m really sorry that I couldn’t attend due to prior commitments. Thanks to all of you, I’ve received the People’s Choice Award. I sincerely appreciate your love for ‘Lovely Runner’ and for me.”
He added, “I also want to thank the entire ‘Lovely Runner’ team for helping me shine as Sun Jae. This award, made possible by the hard work and votes of my fans, holds significant meaning and weight for me, and I will never forget it. Your warm support and love always stay in my heart, and I will continue to work hard to return the favor with even better performances. Thank you so much.”

Kim Hye Yoon also sent a heartfelt message, saying, “Due to scheduling conflicts, I’m greeting you through this video. Thank you so much to the fans, Soo Bum (the drama fans), and Hyeppy Ending (Hye Yoon’s fans) who helped me receive this award. I’ll continue to show you a wide range of performances. Thank you!”
Meanwhile, Yeom Hye Ran won Best Supporting Actress for her role in Mask Girl, while her co-star Ahn Jae Hong took home Best Supporting Actor. Yeom Hye Ran, in her speech, shared, “This is my fourth award for ‘Mask Girl,’ and Ahn Jae Hong’s fifth. It’s really something special when an actor gets to be part of such a valuable project.” She also remembered her late co-star from the OTT drama The Glory, Park Ji Ah, becoming emotional as she said, “She always told me I was a blessed actor. I hope she’s resting peacefully in heaven.”
