In the 14th episode of JTBC’s weekend drama Miss Night and Day, the true identity of the senior intern Na Ok Hee, played by Bae Hae Sun, was unveiled as the notorious serial killer everyone had been searching for.
The episode revealed Na Ok Hee’s sinister past, exposing her true nature hidden behind her kind facade. In a chilling backstory, it was disclosed that she had once drugged Kang Kyung Hee (Jeon Eun Chae), stolen her bankbook, and murdered her in a brutal fashion.
She attempted to withdraw money from Kyung Hee’s account but was caught by Lim Soon (Baek So Mi), a bank employee at the time. That night, Na Ok Hee attacked Lim Soon in a dark alley to cover her tracks, and she noticed Gye Ji Woong’s mother (Min Chae Eun) watching, intensifying the suspense.
The reason behind her assuming the identity of Na Ok Hee was also uncovered. Originally applying for the senior intern position at Seohan District Office under the name Gong Ki Chul, she ominously observed the real Na Ok Hee upon being hired, muttering, “This is good. I mean for me, not for you.” Later, on a rainy night, she donned a black raincoat and confronted the real Na Ok Hee, with Ko Na Heun (Choi Bum Ho) witnessing the encounter and becoming a new target.
Even in the present day, Ok Hee’s malevolent actions continued. When Lee Hak Chan (Jung Seok Yong) came to see her, thinking that she was Kwak Geum Hwa, she realized that Hak Chan’s daughter, Lee Mi Jin (Jeong Eun Ji), was the witness she had been seeking. With a chilling expression, she muttered, “Ah… so it was Lee Mi Jin,” signaling her next target. She then kidnapped Hak Chan and lured Mi Jin into a trap, culminating in a bone-chilling cliffhanger.
