Park Eun Bin‘s agency and production company have vehemently denied reports suggesting she is being paid 300 million KRW (roughly 225,000 USD) per episode for her new drama, Hyper Knife.
A media outlet reported on the 29th that Park Eun Bin had tentatively agreed to star in the new OTT series Hyper Knife with a staggering fee of 300 million KRW per episode. In response, the production company, BLAAD Studio, and Disney Plus mentioned that they are still in the process of negotiating Park’s remuneration.
However, a representative from Park Eun Bin’s agency, Namoo Actors, told OSEN, “It’s not true,” providing a brief statement dismissing the claims.
BLAAD Studio also clarified to OSEN, “The reports are baseless. We are in a positive discussion with Park Eun Bin about the script. She has only had meetings related to the project, meeting the director twice and the writer once. It’s premature to discuss contracts as even the platform agreement has not been finalized, and we are just starting to discuss conditions. These reports have put us in an awkward and difficult position.”
The studio added, “We are at the initial stage of discussions, and it’s perplexing for both parties that there are talks of appearance fees and negotiations already out in the media.”
Hyper Knife is a medical crime thriller about a doctor who is also a murderer. The plot thickens as the protagonist reunites with her mentor responsible for her downfall. Park Eun Bin is generating significant interest with her first-ever villainous role as a psychopathic doctor. Additionally, the casting of Sol Kyung Gu as the opposite lead has drawn attention in the industry.
