Park Eun Bin is currently reviewing a role in the upcoming medical drama Hyper Knife (literal title), her agency Namoo Actors confirmed to News1 on Wednesday.
This new medical crime thriller centers on a compelling narrative involving a doctor who, also a murderer, reunites with a mentor responsible for her downfall. The drama is penned by Kim Sun Hee, known for her work on OCN’s God’s Quiz: Reboot.
In Hyper Knife, Park Eun Bin has been offered the role of Jung Se Ok, a genius who entered medical school as the top student at age 17. But, she ended up losing her medical license due to an attempted murder charge against her mentor, Professor Choi Deok Hee. Jung Se Ok is described as a genius obsessed with the human brain, a psychopath who devalues human life. Paradoxically, she’s a doctor who saves people and a murderer who kills people.
Seol Kyung Gu is reportedly considering the role of Choi Deok Hee.
Meanwhile, Park Eun Bin gained widespread popularity for her portrayal of Woo Young Woo, a lawyer on the autism spectrum, in last year’s drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Just recently, she appeared in the tvN hit drama Castaway Diva. Given her recent successes, anticipation is high for Hyper Knife as it marks her first foray into the medical genre.
