In a surprising turn of events, HyunA and Yong Jun Hyung have ignited dating rumors with their recent Instagram post. On the night of the 18th, both artists took to Instagram to share a photo of them walking hand-in-hand on a sandy beach. While neither directly confirmed a relationship, the post has led fans to speculate that they are openly dating. This would mark HyunA’s first public relationship since her split with Dawn over a year ago.
HyunA personally responded with like to supportive comments from fans, like “I hope you’re happy” or “I support your love.” In response to the developing story, Yong Jun Hyung’s agency, BLACK MADE, stated on the 19th morning that they were “checking with the artist.”
Adding to the speculation, a franchise restaurant account posted a photo in November last year, thanking the two artists for their visit, accompanied by their autographs, leading to speculations that their romance started three months ago.
However, the relationship speculation comes amidst mixed reactions from international fans, with some expressing shock and disapproval due to Yong Jun Hyung’s previous involvement in a scandal with singer Jung Joon Young. Some of the comments read, “This is just wrong” or “I’m utterly shocked.” Yong was found to have shared and engaged in inappropriate conversations in a chatroom with Jung, who was later convicted of sexual assault and illegal filming in 2020.
Yong initially denied the allegations but later admitted and apologized, leading to his departure from the group Highlight (formerly known as BEAST) in March 2019. He made a solo comeback in November 2022 with the album LONER.
HyunA and Yong Jun Hyung both previously worked under Cube Entertainment in the groups 4Minute and BEAST, respectively, and appeared together in HyunA’s solo debut music video “Change.”
