The entertainment industry is engulfed in sorrow as a part of the late Lee Sun Kyun‘s note, resembling a will, has been revealed. Meanwhile, a woman accused of blackmailing the deceased has been arrested while attempting to flee.

Lee Sun Kyun was found dead in a car near a park in Seoul at around 10:30 AM on the 27th, only at the age of 48.

TV Chosun’s News9 released a portion of the deceased’s last note. The note, left before he left his house the night before, conveyed to his wife, “There’s no other way,” “This seems to be the only solution.”

Lee also left a message for the CEO of his agency, expressing remorse over the financial repercussions of his actions. He said, “I am sorry for the large penalty for advertising and movies.” Following his drug investigation, the financial fallout, including the cancellation fees for projects and advertisements, is estimated to be around 10 billion KRW (approx. 7.69 million USD).

Previously, the police had announced that they would keep the contents of the note private in accordance with the family’s request. People are criticizing TV Chosun’s exclusive report on the note, questioning, “Why are they revealing it when the family decided not to?” and “Isn’t this a forced disclosure?”

Meanwhile, a woman in her 20s, identified as A, who extorted 50 million KRW (approx. 39,000 USD) from Lee, was forcibly brought in by the police. A, already under a requested arrest warrant, did not attend the warrant validation hearing at the Incheon District Court without any specific reason. The police located A and executed the arrest warrant.

Currently, A is detained in the detention center at the Nonhyeon Police Station in Incheon, with her hearing scheduled for the afternoon of the 28th. A is accused of blackmailing Lee, who was under investigation for drug use, extorting 50 million KRW from him and 300 million KRW from a nightclub manager.

Meanwhile, the Seoul Seongbuk Police Station is considering not conducting an autopsy, as requested by the deceased’s family. During an on-site inspection, the police collected one mobile phone and other items from inside the vehicle.
