Jeon So Min is stepping away from Running Man after a six-year run in the series.
On October 23rd, her agency King Kong by Starship announced, “Jeon So Min will be leaving Running Man after her final recording on October 30th.”
The agency added a heartfelt explanation for her exit, stating, “Given the long-lasting relationship she’s had with the show, much thought went into this decision. After extensive discussions with the ‘Running Man’ cast, crew, and her agency, Jeon So Min has decided that a brief recharging period is necessary to bring her best self to her future activities, including acting.”
Since joining Running Man in April 2017, Jeon So Min has been a staple on the weekly show, charming viewers every Sunday for nearly six years. Her agency conveyed their gratitude with the following statement, “We sincerely thank all the viewers who have laughed and cried along with Jeon So Min on ‘Running Man.’ We ask for your warm affection and support for her moving forward.”
Fans of the show are undoubtedly saddened by the sudden news, yet eager to see what’s to come for Jeon So Min. It seems the stage is set for a bittersweet farewell as the actress embarks on a new chapter.
