The entertainment powerhouse revealed that they have been working meticulously on the BABYMONSTER project, conducting several song camps in collaboration with internationally renowned composers and YG’s in-house producers. And now, they have a trove of high-quality tracks.
YG stated, “We’ve been extremely cautious in selecting the title track to offer the best results. We ask for understanding that this cautious approach has slightly delayed the debut from the initially planned September.”
Currently, the members of BABYMONSTER are deep into practicing the choreography for their title track, and they’ll be stepping in front of the camera for their music video shoot by the end of this month. Word on the street is that all YG staff are also fully committed and bustling to ensure the group’s successful debut.
YG wrapped up by saying, “All preparations are now complete. Once the official debut in November takes place, we will continue to give our best at full throttle. We ask for your keen attention.”
On a related note, BABYMONSTER marks YG’s first girl group since BLACKPINK about seven years ago. Boasting a multinational line-up from Korea, Thailand, and Japan, and armed with top-tier skills in vocals, dance, rap, and visuals, the group is set to shake up the K-pop world as a “monster rookie.” Even before their official debut, they’ve already amassed over 3.12 million subscribers on their official YouTube channel, with total views approaching a staggering 450 million.
So better mark your calendars, K-pop fans!
