BIBI shared what it was like working with Song Joong Ki in her latest movie Hopeless.
Hopeless follows the story of a young boy named Yeon Gyu (played by Hong Xa Bin) who, desperate to escape his hellish reality, finds himself entangled in a dangerous world after meeting Chi Geon (Song Joong Ki), a mid-level boss in a crime syndicate. BIBI plays the role of Yeon Guy’s younger sister Ha Yan.
The rapper-turned-actress was asked about what it was like working with Song Joong Ki for the film. She answered, “Song Joong Ki treated us to plenty of delicious meals on set. Even though we didn’t get to work together frequently, he made it a point to visit the cast and crew regularly. He even went out of his way to buy us some fantastic meals. I doubt I’ll ever receive this level of care in the future.”
When asked if she received any help from Song Joong Ki, she answered, “He offered me valuable acting advice, suggesting that I should portray my character authentically. However, what I truly learned from him was the importance of remaining humble despite achieving fame. He was an incredibly grounded individual deserving of immense respect. It made me aspire to be an actor like him, one who embodies the concept that calm waters run deep,” she added.
Regarding his acting, she revealed, “Despite his charming and adorable appearance, I didn’t anticipate just how charismatic he would be while filming. His rapid immersion into the character sent shivers down my spine. It made me realize that actors are indeed in a league of their own.”
