Elle Korea posted an interview with BTS member V on their official YouTube channel.
V, who was recently named the global ambassador of CELINE, revealed in an interview with Elle Korea that he was drawn to the brand’s distinct values after chatting with Hedi Slimane and watching one of his fashion shows. “There was something special that caught my attention,” he said. The BTS member was also invited to attend Paris Fashion Week last year.
When asked to choose an emoji that represents his fashion style, V picked the man wearing a suit and explained, “I enjoy wearing classic and vintage clothing.”
V also chose various emojis to represent himself as both V and Kim Tae Hyung. For V, he picked the tiger emoji and explained, “I feel like I need to come off as strong and cool on stage as V, which is why I sometimes furrow my eyebrows.” For Kim Tae Hyung, he chose the bear emoji and shared, “The bear represents Kim Tae Hyung. Fans say I resemble a bear because of my slow movements.”
When asked which emoji he preferred, the singer chose the tiger to show his love for his fans. He said, “Since my persona is V, I think I like V more.”
V also shared his vision of BTS in 2023 by choosing a purple heart and a purple face emoji, which symbolize both BTS and its fandom. He explained, “Both the fans and we are eagerly waiting for the group’s return. It shows that we are united in our anticipation for the group’s future activities.”
