CIX is bringing its group activities to an end after seven years.

On April 29th, C9 Entertainment announced the news via the group’s official fan cafe, saying, “CIX will now stop group activities.” The agency added that after months of serious discussions with the members, all parties agreed that “suspending team operations is unavoidable.”

Members BX and Seunghun will see their contracts expire tomorrow, followed by Hyunsuk on May 31st. Yonghee, meanwhile, has applied for early enlistment and will begin his mandatory military service on May 11th.

The agency noted it will continue efforts to keep communication open with the members, adding that it hopes the CIX brand could one day return “with its own unique music.”

CIX debuted on July 21st, 2019, and built a following with tracks like “Movie Star,” “Numb,” “Cinema,” and “WAVE.” Former member Bae Jinyoung left the group in August of last year.
