Jeon Hye Jin, Choi Sooyoung, Ahn Jae Wook, and Park Sung Hoon were cast in the new drama Estranged (literal title).

Estranged is a comedy family drama about a delightful cohabitation of a reckless mother and her free and easy daughter. It’s based on the webtoon of the same name that won Our Today’s Comics., one of Korea’s top comic awards. For the project, writer Min Sun Ae and Cinderella and the Four Knights director Lee Min Woo will join hands.

Stranger 2 actress Jeon Hye Jin plays Eun Mi, a girl-crush physical therapist who is still pretty despite having a 29-year-old daughter. Showing a unique mother-daughter chemistry with Jeon Hye Jin is Choi Sooyoung, who’ll step into the role of patrol officer Jin Hee.

Joining the cast as Jin Hong, a mysterious, by-the-book ENT doctor who suddenly walks into Eun Mi’s life, is Ahn Jae Wook. Park Sung Hoon, who recently showed a shocking transformation into a colorblind villain in Netflix’s The Glory, turns into Jae Won, who gets demoted as chief of a police substation. His life turns even more chaotic when he meets Jin Hee.

Meanwhile, Estranged will be released in the second half of this year.
