Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin will be starring in a new Netflix series named Trunk (literal title) together.
TV Daily reported that the two stars will be teaming up for the new romance drama. The new show will be the third Netflix series Gong Yoo will star in, following Squid Game and The Silent Sea. Expectations are high for the two actors’ chemistry in the new series, as it will be Seo Hyun Jin’s first appearance in a streaming drama.
Based on Kim Ryeo Ryeong’s novel of the same name, Trunk is a melodrama that revolves around a fixed-term marriage service agency NM that matches clients with the spouses they want.
Seo Hyun Jin plays a NM’s deputy head named Noh In Ji. Gong Yoo stars as music producer Han Jung Won who thinks all marriages are deceit.
The upcoming show is helmed by Kim Gyu Tae of Our Blues, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and It’s Okay, That’s Love and penned by Hwarang writer Park Eun Young.
