Lee Seung Gi‘s girlfriend Lee Da In is in talks to star in a new period drama.
On the 22nd, 9Ato Entertainment confirmed, “Lee Da In was offered to star in a new MBC drama titled Lovers (literal title). She’s positively reviewing the offer.”
Set in the Joseon dynasty, Lovers follows the love story between a man and a woman amid the turbulent time of the Qing invasion. The series is penned by The Rebel and The King’s Daughter Su Baek Hyang writer Hwang Jin Young and helmed by The Veil director Kim Sung Yong. Namkoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin will star in the series as its leads.
If Lee Da In joins the cast, she’ll play Kyung Eun Ae, Yoo Gil Chae’s (played by Ahn Eun Jin) best friend. Kyung Eun Ae is described as a benevolent, wise and mature woman. This marks her comeback to the small screen three years after Alice.
Meanwhile, Lee Da In and Lee Seung Gi went public with their relationship in May 2021.
