Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang just might be returning with a heart-fluttering rom-com.
On the 18th, JTBC News reported that Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang were cast in the new drama My Demon (literal title). Kim Yoo Jung’s agency Awesome ENT and Song Kang’s agency Namoo Actors both responded, “My Demon is one of the projects the actor received an offer from.”
My Demon centers around a heart-fluttering cohabitation of Do Do Hee, an heiress of a conglomerate who’s surrounded by enemies, and Gu Won, a man of a species of Demon. It comes from writer Choi Ah Il, who co-wrote the tvN hit series Mr. Queen.
If Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang join the show, they’ll play Do Do Hee and Jung Gu Won, respectively. Do Do Hee is a salt latte-like woman who goes back and forth between sweet and salty. She seems chic and elegant, but she’s actually quite weird inside. Jung Gu Won is a species superior to humans in every way, but when he loses his power, he goes all out to get the power back, along with Do Do Hee.
Meanwhile, Kim Yoo Jung is challenging her first-ever play 20 years after her debut in Shakespeare in Love, which will launch on the 28th. Song Kang is working on shooting the second and third seasons of Netflix’s Sweet Home.
