Yoon Kye Sang and his wife, Cha Hae Young, CEO of lifestyle brand NONFICTION, have purchased a detached home in the Yongsan district in Seoul, under joint ownership.
Newsroad reported that the couple completed the property’s ownership transfer registration on July 27th after finalizing the purchase.
The home is located in Itaewon-dong and sits on a 330-square-meter (approximately 3,552-square-foot) lot. The building has a total floor area of 367.34 square meters (approximately 3,954 square feet) and was completed in December 1967.
The couple signed the purchase agreement with the previous owner on April 27th and completed the remaining payment and registration process three months later on July 27th. Property records show that Yoon Kye Sang and Cha Hae Young each own a 50% share of the home. No mortgage loans are listed on the property, suggesting that the couple paid the reported purchase price of 6.8 billion won ($4.8 million) in cash.
Yoon Kye Sang, who is five years younger than his wife, legally registered his marriage to Cha Hye Young in August 2021. The couple held their wedding ceremony at The Shilla Seoul in June 2022. As they approach their fifth wedding anniversary, the purchase of the jointly owned home has drawn attention as a possible anniversary-related investment.
