Drama Ranking for 1st Week of January
tvN’s Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow ended on a high note. Lee Jae Wook and Go Youn Jung’s romance saw a happy ending, satisfying the viewers. The viewers particularly showed satisfaction over the ending, comparing it to the recently-ended series Reborn Rich. JTBC’s The Interest of Love ranked second for the second week. Though people sympathized with the two couples, Yoo Yeon Seok-Keum Sae Rok and Moon Ga Young-Jung Ga Ram, more wished for Yoo Yeon Seok and Moon Ga Young’s love story. SBS’s PAYBACK: Money and Power and KBS’s Brain Works debuted at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Many showed expectations over Lee Sun Kyun and Jung Yong Hwa’s transformation. JTBC’s Agency started off in seventh place. Though it might not have gathered as much attention as its previous project (Reborn Rich), Lee Bo Young’s performance and the upcoming story are still highly anticipated.
