Drama Ranking for the 4th Week of October
tvN’s Under the Queen’s Umbrella took the top spot for two weeks in a row. The death of the crown prince (Bae In Hyuk) drew attention, and Kim Hye Soo‘s performance as the queen received rave reviews. However, the criticisms about the historical inaccuracy continued, demanding closer attention to the details. SBS’s Cheer Up rose to second place. The love triangle between Bae In Hyuk, Han Ji Hyeon, and Kim Hyun Jin continued to become a hot topic, and all three of them ranked in the cast ranking. MBC’s The Golden Spoon came in third. Yook Sungjae and Yeonwoo‘s kiss scene in episode 12 surprised viewers with its intensity. SBS’s One Dollar Lawyer dropped to fourth place due to a cancellation of one episode. This led to the responses that the network got in the way of the drama’s success. tvN’s Love in Contract and KBS’s Bad Prosecutor kept their places in the chart. KBS’s The Law Cafe ended in eighth place, failing to maintain its early momentum. In the first week of November, Cheer Up, May I Help You?, and Love is for Suckers canceled their broadcast due to Itaewon Halloween crowd crush, and One Dollar Lawyer canceled one episode for SBS’s self-produced project.

Mnet’s Show Me the Money 11 topped the chart again. DON MALIK showed off his presence as the most likely candidate to win the show, and the team including Lee Young Ji, who made headlines for his appearance, wasn’t revealed in the episode, raising curiosity. Meanwhile, a whole bunch of variety shows, including Running Man which teased BTS’ Jin‘s guest appearance, 2 Days & 1 Night, and National Singing Contest, canceled the broadcast due to the Itaewon tragedy that occurred on October 29th.
