An M Countdown performance by American singer David Burke, better known as D4vd, has been scrubbed from the internet following his arrest.
As of 3 PM on April 17, Mnet’s YouTube channel has set D4vd’s performance video to private. The move comes after the reports from U.S. outlets confirming that the singer was taken into custody by Los Angeles police in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Celeste Rivera.
According to authorities, Burke was apprehended at his home in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has since referred the case to the homicide division to finalize charges.
The gruesome case first made headlines last September when Rivera’s remains were discovered in the trunk of Burke’s vehicle. Investigators reported that the body was severely dismembered and in an advanced state of decomposition. Immediately after the discovery, D4vd canceled his remaining tour dates and entered a hiatus for months.
In 2025, D4vd visited South Korea and appeared on M Countdown, where he met several K-pop artists, including Stray Kids, P1Harmony and BOYNEXTDOOR. He took photos with them and received a warm welcome—just months before his murder arrest.
Rivera had been estranged from her family since 2024 and was officially reported missing in May 2025. Rumors had long circulated within the fan community that the teenager was the singer’s girlfriend. Since the investigation began, evidence has emerged suggesting the two shared a residence in Hollywood and even had matching couple tattoos.
With Burke now behind bars, major platforms have started removing the artist’s content, beginning with the removal of his televised performances from last year.
