Seo In Guk is in talks to take the lead in the new action historical drama Handwritten (literal title).
On the 3rd, a media outlet reported that Seo In Guk was offered the lead role in Handwritten. The actor’s agency StoryJCompany soon confirmed, “Seo In Guk was offered the lead role and is positively reviewing it.”
Based on the novel of the same name, Handwritten is a mystery action series set in the Joseon Dynasty. It’s a new project by production company RaemongRaein, which made a major hit earlier this year with Semantic Error.
The role Seo In Guk was offered is the male lead Kwon Soo Young. The drama begins when Kwon Soo Young, believed to be dead, returns and gets caught up in a power struggle. Handwritten tells the story of a protagonist, who’s lost his memory, finding his real identity. It’s expected to be the Joseon version of The Bourne Identity.
