Im Soo Hyang took to Instagram Stories to express her feelings after the passing of her co-star Lee Ji Han.
The actress has been filming for new MBC drama The Season of Kkokdu (literal title) in which the rookie actor was scheduled to play Han Gye Jeol’s (played by Im Soo Hyang) ex-boyfriend. However, the filming is currently put on hold due to the passing of the actor.
Im Soo Hyang wrote, “Ji Han, I hope you are happy in a better place. I was supposed to film the entire day with you yesterday, but after hearing the news, we all gathered at your funeral. We just sat in a daze, and no one could say anything for a long time.”
She added, “I felt so sad and miserable after you left us so soon as I knew how hard you worked and how much you wanted to do a good job. Your parents held my hands while telling me how you proudly told them that I praised you for doing a good job, and I think I cried for a long time because I was sorry that I didn’t take better care of you and that I didn’t say one more nice words of encouragement.”
“I feel very mournful to let my colleague go first. The team and I will work even harder for your share while thinking of you so that you can be proud of where you are, and I hope you are at peace now.”
The actress finished her letter by stating, “To all those who became stars through this Itaewon tragedy, may you all rest in peace.”
