Ma Dong Seok belatedly revealed his marriage to Ye Jung Hwa.
According to Tenasia’s report on October 20th, the celebrities’ label Bigpunch Entertainment shared that Ma Dong Seok and Ye Jung Hwa had legally married last year. However, the report also mentioned that they didn’t have an actual wedding ceremony yet, due to their hectic schedules.
Earlier, Ma Dong Seok won Best Film Artist of the Year at the 12th SACF Artists of the Year Awards held in Seoul.
The actor said in his acceptance speech, “I’m honored to be invited to such a great event. I still have much to learn as an actor and director, but thank you for giving me this meaningful award.” He also added, “I want to thank my beloved wife, Ye Jung Hwa, and everyone involved in film The Roundup.” His speech garnered attention as it was the first time he publically introduced Ye Jung Hwa as his wife.
The two have been dating since 2016. In 2020, Ma Dong Seok revealed that he was planning to get married at a press conference for the Cannes Film Festival. Back then, his agency clarified his statement: “It means that he wants to get married as soon as possible. However, nothing has been decided yet about his marriage.”
